Having used my wife's rad mission for a few months (I've ordered my radrover in July, and it got delivered only last week.), I can share an objective review of the bike: The single gear is actually not a real issue. It is definitely an ebike you have to help for best results in either instance though. If I want to bomb to work in the morning and bomb home the battery will have just a bar left after 16 miles. So if I ride leisurely and take the train I can ride around the city all day and squeeze 40-50 miles out of the battery. I have the screen upgrade and mine still unlocked to 24mph. There is something to the mission being under the weight limit for most public transit and Amtrak. The 50lb ebike is going to dig in a way a real graveler won't and that can take some getting used to. The tires are thick and handle packed trails well but, I recommend some caution around looser terrain. ![]() Some hills I make sure to be going fast before I start them though. The mission is definitely gonna need a hand on steep hills but, if I push I can usually do 13-16 up most hills. Part of me always thinks I should have a bigger battery but, I've learned to stop hitting the throttle and leave it on PAS 2 or 3 most often.
